I am proud to be a DGS graduate and to be able to take up the challenging and difficult but interesting task of being Headmistress of DGS.

She had in mind particular qualities of an educated woman, of being ....." patient listeners, relaxed conversationalist, trenchant debaters, lucid speakers, convincing writers, and people who know themselves....."

Never be afraid to learn new things. Do it continuously. See your career as being progressive and mobile -- it should not and cannot be stationary.

I realised that success for me is not measured by results, but rather by efforts.

I hope that students will dare to be creative even if it may mean making mistakes at times.

At the time, school started each day with roll call at assembly. The school hymn was the same as it is today, ‘Our Father by whose servants...’

One should not only be an observer but should also take the lead to get involved, contribute and build up others.

More importantly, these youths were empowered, and I saw that while many things are out of our control, we can still do something.
