Scholarship

As part of its continuing activities, the Foundation sponsors the D.O.G.A. Scholarships and the Dr. CJ Symons Scholarship which are awarded to current DGS girls. The Dr. C.J. Symons Scholarship was established in 1985 by DOGA in honour of Dr. Catherine Joyce Symons, former headmistress of DGS from 1953 to 1985. It is awarded each year to a S6 student from DGS who best exemplifies the qualities of a DGS girl as envisioned by Dr. Symons. The scholarship is for use towards the recipient's tertiary studies in Hong Kong or abroad, and has been made possible by the generous donations from old girls.
